i figure part of the reason as to why kevin has been so outspoken in his support of the trojans and jeremy in particular has been to ensure jeremy's continued playing. like jeremy's good and kevin (as always) becomes obsessed with his potential. but then there's the scandal and most of the other players involved stop playing and jeremy's not in the people's favor. then, all of a sudden, the son of exy's talking about the trojans and their most controversial player in major interviews and through his eyes and his words people start to see jeremy not just for the scandal again, but as a player and eventually as a person. and that's probably part of why kevin found it so shocking/distressing that jeremy is taking the lsat
